Dr. Randall S Perry

Chair 

Dr. Randall Perry is the founder of the UK Space Design Competition (UKSDC), the Space Science Engineering Foundation (SSEF) where he serves as honorary chair, and Youth Exploring Science (YES) where serves as Chair. He is the Chairman of Pro Ed et al., and a director of Frontier Challenges. A former fellow at the University of Oxford and a former Senior Research Investigator and Royal Society Fellow and at Imperial College London, he has focused his career on science education, astrobiology, and organic geochemistry of Mars. He receive his PhD from the University of Washington. Along with a NASA certification in Astrobiology. He has published widely, authored six adventure novels, and is active as a filmmaker and speaker. Beyond academia and education, Dr. Perry is an explorer, licensed pilot, and painter.

Proffessor Ruth Ottman

Vice Chair

Dr. Ruth Ottman is a Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University. She is an expert in the genetic epidemiology of epilepsy, with pioneering work that led to the discovery of a gene (LGI1) linked to inherited temporal lobe epilepsy. She currently leads multiple studies on the genetics of seizure disorders and has published widely in the field. At Columbia University, she developed a doctoral course in genetic epidemiology, co-founded the long-running Columbia University Seminar on Genetic Epidemiology, and directs training programs that prepare future leaders in complex disease research. She received her PhD in genetics from University of California Berkeley. She is the deputy director of research at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center and a member of the New York State Psychiactric Institute.



Michael D Perry

Tresurer

Michael D. Perry is a finance executive with over 25 years of experience leading publicly traded and private companies across the media and technology sectors. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Belo Corporation (NYSE: BLC), a Dallas-based newspaper and broadcasting company, from 1987 to 1998, after earlier roles including Corporate Controller. Following his tenure at Belo, Michael moved to Silicon Valley, where he was CFO at Women.com (NASDAQ: WOMN), overseeing the company’s successful IPO. He later held senior financial positions at Vitria Technology (NASDAQ: VITR) and Siperian, which was later acquired by Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA). Michael holds both a BS in Accounting and an MBA from Michigan State University.

Sir Christian Sweeting

Co-Vice Chair 

Sir Christian Sweeting. Born and brought up in Torquay, he is a businessman with more than 30 years of commercial experience predominantly in property and corporate structuring. He also undertakes several roles in charities and organisations, including a trustee of the Vatican City State’s Museums and Property restoration body and was recruited by Cardinal Pell to the property board of the Vatican’s Secretariat of the Economy. He is a committee member of St Peter’s Cricket Club (the Pope’s cricket team) and chairs The Catholic Sacred Arts Trust. In 2006 he was recognised by the President of Sri Lanka for humanitarian assistance following the 2004 Tsunami. In 2008 he was awarded a Papal Knighthood for pre-eminent service to charity and in 2015 was honoured with a UK knighthood.

Professor Marcus du Sautoy

Advisor

Prof. du Sautoyis the Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. Formerly a Fellow of All Souls College, and Wadham College, he is now a Fellow of New College, Oxford, He was previous President of the Mathematical Association, an EPSRCSenior Media Fellow and a Royal Society UniversityResearch Fellow. His academic work concerns mainly group theory and number theory.In October 2008, he was appointed to the Simonyi Professors hip for the PublicUnderstanding of Science, succeeding the inaugural holder Richard Dawkins.

Rafael Peters

Co-Tresurer

Rafael (Rafi) is the Managing Director at ProEd, with a strong track record in premium education and a focus on facilitating career exploration for students internationally. His former roles include Commercial Director at Oxford International College, where he was part of a team that contributed to student academic success and university placements. Rafi is an advocate for project-based learning as a tool for professional development.


Robert James Luck

Director

Robert Luck is an architect and entrepreneur focused on sustainable innovation in the built environment. As Founder and CEO of Asembl Technologies and Chief Executive Officer of the Latis Group, he leads ventures that create scalable, low-carbon solutions for housing and construction. A graduate of the University of Nottingham and the Architectural Association, Robert combines expertise in design and project management with a commitment to environmental and social impact. He has worked internationally on projects that bridge technology, architecture, and community development. Dividing his time between London and New York, he works to advance technologies that make sustainable development both practical and accessible. His leadership reflects a belief that thoughtful design can drive lasting global change.

Dumisani Gwakuba

Secretary

Dumisani Gwakuba is an education professional with international experience across Asia, the UK, and beyond. With academic training in economics and finance from the London School of Economics and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he has supported students in securing placements at top universities worldwide. Among other roles, he is a partner in a Financial Advisory company in Africa. He is passionate about cultural exchange, sustainability, and educational innovation, with a proven record of building partnerships that empower young people to succeed. He is the managing director of  Frontier Challenges education company.

Imran Ali-Farzal

Education/Technology Director

Imran is the Co-CEO and co-founder of KEATH.ai, an AI-driven platform transforming educational assessment. With a background in educational leadership, he previously served as the academic director at Cardiff Sixth Form College, one of the UK’s leading schools for Oxbridge admissions. Imran has also led several top institutions with the Huanggang Education Group in China. At KEATH.ai, he uses his expertise to shape AI-assisted grading and personalized feedback solutions, now forming partnerships with over 30 universities worldwide.
